Mentorship Terms & Policies
Welcome to OceanM, a platform dedicated to connecting healthcare students with independent professionals for mentorship. By using our platform, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions last updated on [January 17, 2025]. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility

Both Mentors and Mentees must register on the platform and provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration.

Mentors are required to provide proof of their professional qualifications and expertise.

Mentees must be enrolled in or recently graduated from a healthcare-related course in India.
2. Code of Conduct

Mentors: Provide accurate and professional guidance, maintain confidentiality, avoid conflicts of interest, and adhere to professional ethics.

Mentees: Respect the time and effort of Mentors and use mentorship services solely for educational and professional development.

Prohibited Activities: Harassment, discrimination, inappropriate behavior, sharing of illegal or misleading content, and soliciting for purposes outside the platform's scope.
3. Payment Terms

All payments for mentorship sessions must be made through the platform’s secure payment gateway. Direct payments between Mentors and Mentees are prohibited.

Mentors can set their session fees, which will be transparently displayed on their profiles. A service fee will be deducted from each transaction before transferring payments to Mentors.

Payments must be made in advance by Mentees, and sessions are confirmed only after successful payment.

Payments to Mentors are disbursed weekly, subject to completed sessions and compliance with platform policies.

Refunds are not issued for completed sessions. Mentees must carefully review Mentor profiles and session details before booking.

The platform is not liable for delays or payment processing issues caused by incorrect bank details or external technical problems.

Disputes regarding payments must be reported within 48 hours. The platform’s decision on disputes is final.

Promotional discounts or offers are non-transferable and subject to additional terms.

The platform’s service fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.
4. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cancellations by Mentees: Sessions can be canceled up to 24 hours before the scheduled time for a full refund. No refunds are issued for cancellations within 24 hours.

Cancellations by Mentors: If a Mentor cancels, Mentees receive a full refund or may choose to reschedule.

No-Show Policy: Mentees who fail to attend without prior notice are not eligible for refunds. Mentors who fail to show up face penalties, including potential suspension.

Refund Process: Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.
5. Rescheduling Sessions

Both Mentors and Mentees can request to reschedule a session one time.

Rescheduling can be requested anytime before the session, but it must be mutually agreed upon by both parties.
6. Dispute Resolution

Disputes must be reported within 48 hours of the session.

The platform mediates disputes and may request evidence or statements from both parties.

The platform’s decision on disputes is final and binding.
7. Termination of Access

The platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms and Conditions.

Grounds for termination include breach of Code of Conduct, non-compliance with payment terms, and repeated complaints or disputes.
8. Liability Disclaimer

The platform acts as an intermediary and does not guarantee mentorship quality or session outcomes.

Mentors and Mentees are responsible for their interactions on the platform.
9. Modifications to Terms

The platform reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated via email and updated on the platform.

Continued platform use after changes implies acceptance of the updated Terms.
